We finally have our first look (and some background) on Ming-Na Wen’s character in “The Mandalorian!” A new trailer (included below) is giving us lots of new footage from the upcoming show!
In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Wen discusses her character, an assassin known as Fennec Shand, who is introduced about halfway through the show’s first season.
The actor, who appeared in “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and Mulan, says the name of her character influenced her portrayal. “We got our inspiration really from the name. The idea of a fennec fox came to mind,” she says in the interview. “She’s tricky, and yet she’s able to maneuver and survive, and be stealthy—so very graceful and agile. I just love that whole image with the name.”
In the new trailer, we not only see Fennec Shand, we get some new epic shots from the series, including the appearance of a dewback!
