Only 100 of these gold Darth Vader carrying cases were manufactured. They were used to test out the gold paint for the C-3PO carrying cases which Kenner released. I don’t know why, but for some reason the gold Darth Vader makes me think about Indiana Jones looking for it, like the Incan statue in “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” Thanks to the “Star Wars” Collector’s Archive for the picture.
