That’s no toy, it’s a vintage Star Wars space station!

Vintage Star Wars collectors are familiar with the Death Star Playset released by Kenner back in 1978 or so. Lesser known to collectors, however, is the Palitoy Death Star Playset, released only in Great Britain and Canada. Palitoy was the British version of Kenner, and because of the cost of doing large plastic playsets in England, the company decided to do a cardboard Death Star playset instead. The dome-shaped playset is a half-sphere with two levels and a gunner’s station. They are extremely hard to get these days, but “Action Jackson” posted this awesome YouTube video of one being assembled. Check it out:
