Fandango sent me this very cool piece of art to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Since it’s also Revenge of the 5th, I thought it would be a suitable thing to post today.
Fandango asked artist Jose Emroca Flores to reimagine the characters of “Star Wars” in celebration of Cinco de Mayo and May the Fourth Be with You. The artwork mash-up includes Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Boba Fett, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and a whole lot more.
Flores said about the piece, “I imagined the buildings in Puebla were secretly spaceships that would take off in a moments notice. Mexico would also have their version of Lukas Eskywalkers, Princesa Leia and Chuey.”
