“Red Leader” Actor Drewe Henley Passes Away

We’re very sad to report that “Red Leader” actor Drewe Henley has passed away at the age of 75. Expanded Universe folks will know him by his proper name – Garven “Dave” Dreis. He worked throughout then 1960s and 1970s mostly on British film and television shows. Henley also graced the stage in London and on Broadway. However, “Star Wars” fans came to know him as the man who led The Red Squadron of X-Wings into the attack on the Death Star in “A New Hope.” Other genre movies he starred in include “Space: 1999,” “When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth,” and “UFO.” Our condolences to his family and close friends.
