Former Lucasfilm Fan Relations head and Rancho Obi-Wan Museum President and CEO Steve Sansweet is showcasing a portion of his “Star Wars” collection as part of the Eye of the Collector traveling exhibit. The exhibit is stopping in the Dallas, TX area from April 16th to September 5th and ROT5 is doing what we can to spread the word. Sansweet has collected toys, merchandising pieces, promotional items, movie props and replicas, and anything else related to a Galaxy Far, Far Away he can get his hands on over the past 37 years. His full collection has been featured in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Eye of the Collector showcases the quirky, crafty, historical and fashionable objects of nine very different people. They come together to show that the recollections they have of their prized possessions are at least as valuable as the collections themselves. Besides Steve’s “Star Wars” collection, the exhibit also includes Dallas Cowboy memorabilia, PEZ dispensers of all kinds, gorgeous Ballet Folklórico dresses and more. Eye of the Collector holds something for all interests.
If you’re interested in visiting the exhibit, go the Perot Museum website to get more information.
