Wave 4 of the Hasbro ‘Force Link’ figures hits toy store shelves later this month, except for Toys ‘R Us. We’re still in denial over that. For those toy retailers that haven’t gone bankrupt, you have a chance to get a hold of new figures from the Solo movie.
The Force Link figures may be the “basic” line of Star Wars figures, but I still find them fun and a bit nostalgic, with their five points of articulation (5POA) reminding most of the vintage figures.
With Solo now on Blu-ray and Digital HD, there’s likely to be a new wave of fans being made, so Hasbro is capitalizing by releasing more Solo figures in wave 4. A case of 12 figures can be pre-ordered from Entertainment Earth by clicking right here.
The figures included in wave 4 are mostly from the Solo film, and we finally get a Young Han Solo 3 3/4″ figure released on a single card. However, it is Han in his “Mudtrooper” outfit and not his standard look from the movie – those figures are still only available as a pack-in with the Millennium Falcon and Landspeeder vehicles.
Also included in wave 4 are figures of Rio Durant, Tobias Beckett, Val, and L3-37. Quay Tolsite is included, as well as one original trilogy character: the Emperor’s Royal Guard.
