The Star Wars Classic Newspaper Comics Volume 3 completes IDW’s coverage of the fan-favorite strips, and includes every complete strip published from July 26, 1982 until the final comic on March 11, 1984. The comics were written by former Marvel Editor-In-Chief Archie Goodwin and iconic artist Al Williamson, who also collaborated on a number of Star Wars comic books. They also did the comic adaptations for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
Featured in the book are a number of major story lines, including “A New Beginning,” “Revenge of the Jedi,” “Doom Mission,” and “The Final Trap,” among others.
