Mark Hamill Receiving Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame; William Shatner Congratulates with Heckling

“Mark Hamill, who portrayed Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars saga — and whose incredible body of work spans movies, TV, theatre, video games, and voice-over — will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it was announced this week. The star will be dedicated on March 8 at 11:30 a.m. PT. in the category of Motion Pictures, in a special ceremony at 6834 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the El Capitan Theatre.

Hamill and Star Trek’s William Shatner exchanged a few friendly jabs on Twitter in celebration of the Star Wars actor getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“Congratulations! BTW ask for a star on the south side of the street. I’m on the north side and don’t want to devalue the neighborhood,” Shatner tweeted at Hamill, who zinged back, “Thanks, Bill. It wouldn’t be as special without a classic Shatner-burn from you! Live Long, But Get Lost.”
