The passing of Adam West today brought out millions of Bat-fans worldwide, who remembered a man who was a hero to many for generations. Mark Hamill tweeted out the photo above, saying “#AdamWest was such a wonderful actor & so kind, I’m so lucky to have worked w/ him & tell him how much he meant to me & millions of fans.”
Many more took to social media to honor him, including many Star Wars fans, many of whom grew up with West as the only Batman they knew.
