Lucasfilm has confirmed what they have vaguely discussed and hinted to for while now: a third Anthology film is coming. Disney President Bob Iger confirms a writer has been brought on board for a 2020 release. Rolling Stone reports:
Iger said the scheduled film would form a trilogy with this December’s Rogue One and the upcoming Han Solo spinoff film starring Alden Ehrenreich, all under the A Star Wars Story banner.
This has been mentioned as an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie, but no real confirmation has been forthcoming. That may soon change.
