Indira Varma’s Role in the ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Series Has Been Revealed

The “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series is currently filming in Los Angeles, and pictures taken at the set have hit the web, featuring Ewan McGregor and other cast members in costume.

The pictures were posted online by Just Jared. McGregor appeared to be wearing his Jedi tunic under a black robe, and actress Indira Varma (“Game of Thrones”) was also captured in costume, revealing her role in the series.

Varma was photographed wearing a black robe as well, but as the picture below shows, she was wearing an Imperial officer uniform, including the distinctive hat seen in the original trilogy.

Original Trilogy-era Stormtroopers were also seen on the set, leading many to speculate the Empire will play a much larger role in the series than first thought.

The presence of Original Trilogy-era Imperials and Stormtroopers was confirmed by McGregor in a Variety YouTube video in which he and “Mandalorian” actor Pedro Pascal discussed their respective Star Wars shows.

Here are pictures featuring McGregor on the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” set.
