Matt Ferguson just may be our new favorite artist. He’s created some fantastic Star Wars artwork over the years, but his work on Guardians of the Galaxy, which re-imagined the classic poster designs of the original trilogy, may be his best work of all.
Ferguson, who can be found on Twitter at @Cakes_Comics, shared images of the posters on social media in the lead-up to the release of Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Here are slightly larger look at each poster. First, here’s the A New Hope poster design.

Here’s the second, a tribute to the classic Empire Strikes Back poster by Roger Kastel. The Empire design was nicknamed the “Gone with the Wind” poster by fans, for obvious reasons.

Ferguson even worked up an Empire-styled teaser that will make you yearn for a Walkman again.
