Gina Carano’s Cara Dune Missing From New ‘Mandalorian’ Pinball Game

On Wednesday, Lucasfilm revealed new Mandalorian-themed pinball machines coming from Stern Pinball, but there’s a notable character missing in the game’s artwork: Cara Dune, portrayed by Gina Carano in the series.

The omission is pretty noticeable, particularly because most of the shows’ major characters are featured, even those who only appeared for a few episodes.

The game board features a 3D Grogu, as well as a model of the Razor Crest. The artwork features The Mandalorian himself, as well as Boba Fett, Greef Karga (played by Carl Weathers, who provides a speech for the game), Moff Gideon, Kuiil, Fennec Shand, IG-11, Bo-Katan, Ahsoka Tano, and The Armorer. Even Luke Skywalker, who had a much-publicized cameo in the second season finale, is included. But no Cara Dune.

Carano was fired by Lucasfilm in February after she posted a meme comparing today’s hateful social and political divide to the atmosphere in 1930s Germany that saw the rise of Nazism. A dedicated group of online trolls, who had targeted Carano for months over her conservative and libertarian views, convinced Lucasfilm to cut ties with the actress.

Lucasfilm went even further, canceling merchandise featuring Carano’s Cara Dune character, including action figures.

Now, in a particularly petty swipe, Lucasfilm has omitted Cara Dune from the pinball game’s artwork, which features a number of cast members and characters. While Cara Dune is missing, minor characters who appeared in far fewer episodes are included.

There are three different models of Mandalorian pinball machines (Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition), and Cara Dune is nowhere to be found on any of them, according to photos and video released by Stern Pinball.

Here’s a trailer for the pinball game.

Carano has yet to comment on the omission.
