Lucasfilm Publishing revealed the Age of Star Wars line during San Diego Comic Con 2018, where it was announced that there would be 30 issues in total for the project, with each focusing on one hero or villain from each specific era.
The maxi-series is split up into three sections – Star Wars: Age of Republic encorporates the prequel trilogy, Star Wars: Age of Rebellion the original trilogy and Star Wars: Age of Resistance the current sequel trilogy.
