Some time in the late 1980s a Turkish company produced bootleg Star Wars action figures, and they have become highly collectible among Star Wars fans, even though they are unlicensed. The quality of the figures are pretty bad, but the appeal lies in the packaging. Uzay figures, as the came to be known, featured new photos of the figures themselves instead of shots from the films. Some of the pictures are hilarious, like the Imperial Gunner photographed with a calculator that is supposed to be a Death Star control panel. The stormtrooper figure pictured here has a crazy Vertigo-like thing going on. It’s weird, but we dig it. This photo was posted by Karl Dix in the Vintage Star Wars Action Figure Group on Facebook.
