It’s been a rough few days for “Star Wars” fans. We’ve learned that the actor who first voiced Boba Fett in “The Star Wars Holiday Special” has died at age 84. Don Francks voiced the actor in the highly praised animated segment of the infamous 1978 television special. Many would claim it’s the only part of the special worth remembering. Lucasfilm showed there agreement by putting the animated segment on the Blu-ray release of the “Star Wars: Complete Trilogy” Box Set.
Francks also voiced the bounty hunter on the “Droids” Saturday morning cartoon.
Francks was also known from his roles in over 168 television shows and movies. He was seen and heard in such productions as “Heavy Metal,” “My Bloody Valentine,” “Swamp Thing,” and “X-Men.” Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
