One of the biggest complaints about “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is it’s lack of an opening crawl. Personally, I had no problem with there not being one. I felt that it was more impacting to see “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away” come onscreen and then be thrown right into the thick of things. Needless to say, Andrew Shackley created his own crawl for the stand-alone film that explains just exactly what we’re about to experience. Check the video out after the jump.
Creator Andrew Shackley stated, ““If any film in the new ‘Star Wars’ canon needed a crawl just to let people know where we are in time in this universe, it was ‘Rogue One.’ At the very least, I feel these words give added weight to the opening prologue of the film.”
