The first trailer for the second season of “The Mandalorian” has arrived, with more surprises than you can throw a lightsaber at!
The hit series returns October 30 on the Disney+ streaming service, and the trailer provides a little insight into the season’s story-line, which will focus on Din Djarin/The Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) returning Baby Yoda (aka The Child) to”his kind.”
Gina Carano (Cara Dune), Carl Weathers (Greef Karga), and Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon) all return for the new season.
According to reports, also joining the cast are Rosario Dawson (Sin City), who is reportedly playing former Jedi Ahsoka Tano; Jango Fett actor Temuera Morrison, who may be playing a former Clone Trooper or Boba Fett; Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) as Bo-Katan Kryze; and both Michael Biehn (Aliens) and Timothy Olyphant (Justified) as unannounced characters.
“The first season was just the beginning of a huge story, they take the gloves off even more in season 2,” Gina Carano said in an interview for Entertainment Weekly.
The new season also includes a surprise: the appearance of Jedi. In the trailer, a mysterious Jedi is shown, played by WWE superstar Sasha Banks.
