We finally know the premiere date for the highly-anticipated “The Book of Boba Fett” series on the Disney+ streaming service.
Lucasfilm announced that the series will premiere on December 29, 2021 in a number of social media posts.
“The Book of Boba Fett” is a spinoff of the Emmy-winning series “The Mandalorian,” with actor Temuera Morrison in the lead role. Morrison, who played Jango Fett in the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, appeared as Fett in season two of “The Mandalorian.” He will be joined by Ming-Na Wen, who portrayed Fennec Shand in the series. The series was initially teased in the season two finale of “The Mandalorian.”
The series will follow Fett and Shand as they take over Jabba the Hutt’s criminal empire on Tatooine from Bib Fortuna.

Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson serve as executive producers for the series.
